Tune in tonight!
Filming went ahead as planned yesterday at BBC Television Centre.
Newswatch will be broadcast tonight at 8.45pm on News24. There is a repeat tomorrow (Saturday 5 April) on BBC1 on Breakfast. I'm not sure where in the schedule for the programme it will be - probably towards the end of the show, but don't take my word for it.

Without giving too much away, there is an interesting revelation made by my debating partner, Tamsin O'Brien, who is head of local and regional programming for the north-west at the BBC.
We might yet see a change before too long. Then again, maybe not.
Tune in to see whether there really is light at the end of the tunnel.

The BBC is to re-launch its local BBC websites in the next year. Cheshire will be part of that project I'm led to believe
A local site for Cheshire was in mind several years ago but due to funding issues the site was never created and news teams based in Manchester covered the area as best they could instead of a team in Cheshire.
The person to help with any of your queries for Cheshire news would be the Contoller of English Regions, Andy Griffee
Tamsin O'Brien, as stated, is the person in charge of expanding Cheshire coverage. This includes the websites. I know this because I have debated the issue on TV with her and also discussed it off-screen. Her proposals are currently on the desks of the BBC Trust, who will ultimately decide whether or not to approve them. If they say yes, we will finally get a dedicated section of the BBC website.
